Graham Bonnet rallied the troops and gave into fan’s demands with the result being a three night reunion of Alcatrazz and the birth of Parole Denied – Tokyo 2017. An homage to the hay days of Alcatrazz when guitar infused Rock ruled the world and the shredders were god. Yngwie Malmsteen made his mark in Alcatrazz followed by a young Steve Vai fresh off working with the late great Frank Zappa, you can imagine the depth of talent lead by the great Graham Bonnet on vocals. On paper Alcatrazz had it all, an embarrassing array of talent which lead to some Classic Rock and musical history being laid down on vinyl.

Parole Denied is a tribute to that musical history and encapsulates their all to short time together, you get a CD / DVD Digi Pack which offers a two disc live concert and studio demo set, along with the DVD of the concert itself. For the hardcore Alcatrazz fans this will be an absolute must, founding Alcatrazz members, Graham Bonnet (vocals), Jimmy Waldo (keyboards) and Gary Shea (bass), reunited after 33 years for a unique series of shows in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo, Japan in March 2017. For the special occasion, the band was rounded out by Mark Benquechea (drums) and Conrado Pesinato (guitars), both from the Graham Bonnet Band.

This is like stepping into a veritable time machine and has you transported back into the heart of the 1980’s in a flash, the song writing, the sound, the atmosphere all captured beautifully for all to enjoy in the comfort of your own homes. Anyne who has had the pleasure of seeing Mr Bonnet live will know how strong these songs are live and they transfer perfectly for the new millennial’s and hardcore fans alike.

Parole Denied – Tokyo 2017 is released Friday Dec 7th via Frontiers Music srl and is an absolute must for those in the know.
