Heavy. Indie. Rock N Roll.
Post Hoc is a band that should not exist, and yet it does to the delight of the Phoenix music scene. In what once began as a long distance musical collaboration between a Marine and an Air Force Veteran, Post Hoc has since evolved into what it is today: blending intellectual lyrics, ambiance, and pure rock and roll. Our goal is simple: Create, perform and share emotive music that you can feel. We love what we do. Post Hoc has quickly made a name for themselves in the Arizona local scene, opening shows for nationally touring acts such as Emery, The Classic Crime, and others.
They have performed at Arizona venues such as The Marquee Theatre, The Nile, The Rebel Lounge, The Green Room, Club Red, Yucca Tap Room, 51 West, Pho Cao, Rogue Bar and more. They have been featured in azcentral’s “Phoenix Local Picks for October” by writer Ed Masley, issue #59 of Substream magazine’s “Indie Stream” for emerging artists and Mitchell Hillman’s “Sounds Around Town”, “Best of the Valley 2018” for The Phoenix Magazine, radio stations and much more. Post Hoc’s Debut EP, “Daffodils”, was released on 10/20/17 and is available on iTunes, Spotify, CD print, and much more.
Exclusive Quote: “We just love to rock and roll, and ‘Tarantino’ is a writhing testament to that” – Post Hoc
Post Hoc’s single “Tarantino” will release everywhere on 06/01/18.
Info about the song: Premiering exactly a year after their first live show, Post Hoc’s debut single ‘Tarantino’ highlights the energy of the 5 piece rock band out of Phoenix. Tarantino was first written in 2010, and its final product is the result of the 8 years since then. Lyrically, it’s a coming-of-age story, cast against the backdrop of the stoic Sonoran desert. Its noir undertones and heavy hitting chorus conjure imagery similar to the director by which it is named. The music video embraces this, adding a sense of oddity to the song, while the guitars bleed with the energy of a live performance.
