The Soap Girls – ‘Society’s Rejects’ – Album Review

Revolt rockers The Soap Girls are ready blow your mind once again with their latest release Society’s Rejects released on July 21st. It is everything you would expect from this chaotic duo and more. Kicking off with the albums self-titled track you immediately immersed into the world of The Soap Girls, with their ballsy, brash and confrontational take on modern day society. It’s a great introduction to a blistering collection of tracks that simply lift you up outta your seat and wake you the f**k up!

‘Jonny Rotten’ continues the theme with a not so romantic take on “Jonny the rotten boy” another savage and catchy track that will no doubt have you shaking your body in sync. Track after track you are pulled into the anarchic world of The Soap Girls and it’s not all doom and gloom; instead it’s a fun place to be, energetic and passionate to the core. Melodic and powerful hooks keep you engaged as the girls rip their way across 13 new tracks and 2 old favorites in ‘Rather Be Dead’ and ‘Bad Bitch’.

You may have an expectation that a duo clearly influenced by the devil may spew out mindless drivel musically, but not at all. Each and every track is punchy and succinct, dragging you in and out of their dystopian world as to leave you doubting you were even there. Production is first class ensuring you live every kick of the drum and thrash of that guitar. Quality song-writing throughout will keep listeners engaged and screaming for more, it’s the perfect tonic for a shi**ty day at the office or an asshole boss!

There are numerous stand out tracks on this album, uplifting, passionate numbers that will fill the soul to bursting point, and have you screaming from the rooftops “Hey you, hey me, fu*k you, fu*k me!” Ok well maybe not, but you’ll want to.

The Soap Girls are taking this show on the road, so be sure to catch them as they wiz their way across the UK and Ireland on the Party In Hell Tour through June, July and August.

Society’s Rejects is released on July 21st and surely is a must for all you wannabe anarchists out there.
