Mile Marker Zero are a Connecticut based Prog-Rock band returning with their sophomore album The Fifth Row. The album itself was recorded at the band’s home studio prior to being sent for mastering by the awesome Andy Vandette (Rush, Devin Townsend).
It is, as you would expect from any Prog-Rock band, a complex and beautiful collection of intelligent interweaving parts that magically fuse together to complete a stunning album. The musicianship is simply stunning. Marry that with polished vocals and vocal harmonies and you have a fluid and easy-on-the-ear album, which can be a rare thing to say when we’re talking Prog-Rock.
The first single taken off the album, ‘Architect’ is a perfect example, a classic Rock song with hard-hitting gritty vocals, yet seamlessly melodic. It just showcases the quality across the album.
A fresh generation of Prog-Rock bands making their mark, such as Mile Marker Zero, are changing the game; The Fifth Row is one such example.
