Kris Barras has been around the block more than a few times. An accomplished mixed martial artist, Kris hung up his gloves to focus once again on a career in music. Mascot Records acknowledged the hard work and graft Barras had put in forging a reputation for himself up and down the UK. A gritty player with an abundance of natural talent, The Divine and Dirty showcases his playing to the full.
A raw-sounding album steeped deep in the Blues with a Southern Rock swagger will appeal beyond the usual genre restrictions. The Divine and Dirty should grab the attention of the likes of The Cadillac Three fans and beyond.
Classy song writing and slick six string action make it an appealing album beyond guitar obsessed nerds out there, although there is some pretty sweet solo work across the recording. The Divine and Dirty offers plenty for everybody, and with big sing-along choruses far and wide, there’s plenty for you to get your teeth into, get down and dirty and shake yo booty to!
The Divine and Dirty is released March 23rd via Provogue with a UK tour dovetailing its release.
