Bad Touch – ‘Truth Be Told’ – Album Review 06/05/2017 5 Norfolk quintet Bad Touch are back with their second studio album ‘Truth Be Told’ a foot stomping, air guitar wielding collection of finely penned tunes that will have you tweaking up that volume to the max. Right from the album opener you automatically get a sense of what Bad Touch are all about, feel good, old school charm rock n’ roll. It’s an alluring and cohesive album filled with vintage rock influences from the likes of the Black Crowes, Led Zepplin and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Clearly coming from good stock, the boys have gathered twelve great songs to hit the ground running for their follow up to the 2015 debut album release ‘Half Way Home’ receiving rave reviews and leading them to tour with The Answer, Tyketto and Snake Charmer. The guys have a reputation as one hell of a live band, winning the Marshall Ultimate Band Contest back to 2013, and I’ve no doubt that this album will translate superbly to the stage also, with their feel good, and easy going style you can’t but help let yourself give into its infectious grooves. The new album, which was recorded at Mwnci Studios in Wales, features the singles “99%” and “Made To Break”, both remixed for radio by the legendary Rolling Stones engineer and co-producer, Chris Kimsey, “99%” is a great song to ride around in cars and drink beer and smoke pot and listen to rock and roll on the radio,” says Chris Kimsey. “Not that I drink beer or smoke pot, but I remember the simplicity of music and life so it’s good to hear it is alive and kicking with Bad Touch. I heard something that evoked a good time melodic love song. It just needed some re arranging and mixing to get to the heart of the song.” I think ‘Truth Be Told’ will get the guys a whole new fan base, moving them forward with a seductive, polished album full of energy and flowing with class. Highly recommended. Released on December 2nd Via Cadiz and to dovetail the album release the band will embark on a UK co-headlining tour on November 19th with Australian rock band Massive.
