Inflammatory, aggressive and so, so good. De Profundis have been doing this for over 10 years and they have used the experiences gained and the wrongs they have experienced to produce what has to be in many Top 10 lists of 2018, if not at the very top.
Using religion and in particular Abrahamic religions, De Profundis use their incredible song writing and hit the subject hard with tight, riff-heavy, skull-crushing Death Metal topped off with aggressive, gravelly vocals to create a masterpiece.
With fast-paced drums, ever-changing guitars, face-melting solos and the constant barrage of Death Metal at its highest standards, the fifth full length and seventh overall release by the band has to be the best to date.
This is a wincingly brilliant album from start to finish that will certainly be enjoyed at Bloodstock Festival in August and anywhere else you can get to see the tracks from the album being played.
