The Starting Gun is ready and when it’s time to go, it’s certainly no anti-climax.

The opening track ‘Thunder Child’ does exactly what it says on the tin, it grabs you, reels you in and leaves you gagging for more. It certainly sets the standard for the rest of the album with its high quality Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The album takes a different turn with the acoustic track ‘I Hope’ and then the slower ‘Let’s Misbehave’ before ramping back up to its full Blues/Rock groove.

Throughout the album the riffs are perfectly placed and enhance each song without taking over. The drums don’t just keep time, they are great foundations that the rest of the songs are built upon along with bass that binds it all together.

All of the tracks are well written and certainly make for enjoyable listening. It is easy to see the album transferring well to the live stage.

Starting Gun is a very strong debut album that will no doubt gain the band new followers whilst pleasing the current fan base. Tom, Dale and Karl should be proud of what will be a highly regarded debut release.
